Pukete "chicken curry hot" mountain biking
Today we went to Pukete Mountain Bike track. We did four laps each. One lap was roughly four kilometres. In total we did sixteen kilometres each. (A great effort). I fell over once before the track and hurt my right leg. Luckily that was my only crash but other people fell off heaps. My time for my time trial was two minutes and forty-five seconds. Rhys came with us on behave of Bike Barn. At the end I won a pair off biking gloves for trying my best and having an insane/epic crash.

The Black Hall (Karamu caves, day 4)
Today we went to Karamu cave, it is 3km long but we only went 1km. It was a half an hour drive then we climbed up a big hill, that only took us ten minutes to get to the caves, it was the easiest walk of the week. Finally we got the top of the hill. We had to find the entrance to the cave. One group went to the wrong cave and the other group called for us to the right entrance. In the cave we went all over the rocks. It was really, really muddy and we had to walk in a lot of water. We reached the place we wanted to! It was called the sandwich. The other cool thing was the limestone stalactites and the glow-worms. Then we walked the whole way back and did roley poleys down the hill and then jumped over the stream. We were really really wet and muddy so I had to get dressed at the red shed.

The Great Meremere Fishing Trip
I could hardly sleep because I was so excited to go on the fishing trip. The van picked us up at 5.00am from the shop in Meremere and we drove to the Coromandel. On the way we picked up Mr B in Thames.
We got on the boat from the wharf at 7.00am. I was excited when we drove to the mussel farms. My first fish was a Snapper, then I caught another one. I caught 13 all up.
It was a great day fishing with Mr B and the Huntly Police. Everyone caught lots of Snapper. Hoani caught the Biggest one.
Thank you to Ra and the Huntly Police for organising the fishing trip and coming fishing with us.
P.S the BBQ was tops.

Fishing Story. By Ryan, St Joseph's School, Hamilton.
Yay today I'm going to the wicked fishing holiday program edventure. I got out of bed and got dressed my heart pounded in excitement like it was a mad ringing clock. I ate my breakfast then got in the car. Mum drove me to Woodstock for the awesome holiday programme. When I got there Mark was in the library. He said hi and I greeted him back I put my bag down and watched a cool fishing movie until everyone got there. When everyone got there Mark taught us some knots they were hard at the start but with a bit of practice I got the hang of it. After we had lots of practice and got the hang of it. It was morning tea time so we ate our food and went on the Woodstock playground. When we got inside after morning tea we went back outside on the field to practice casting then we had lunch. After lunch we had more practice of both things then at the end of the day we had a cool casting contest. The winner was Barrie I think so he got a bag of hooks. The next day we went to Raglan to go fishing when we got there we set up our rods and went fishing. When we dropped our rods in 5 minutes later someone in the holiday program caught a snapper. Then his brother caught another one. Soon Barrie caught a sprat lol but then I caught a sprat. I thought it was going to be a biggy. Soon after 1 hour went by we had to reel our lines in. I was praying I had something on my line I reeled it in and yay I caught a snapper. That was the coolest holiday programme ever no such thing as a better holiday program than that.
